Emergency Sanitation: staying clean and avoiding infection during an emergency
Shortage of water for handwashing. Backed up toilets. Contaminants floodwaters. Crowded shelters with TB and other diseases. Basic hygiene like handwashing and using a toilet can become surprisingly difficult during an emergency. And failing to keep yourself clean isn’t just gross. It puts you at risk for infection at a time when you may not have access to medical care.
This Friday evening, November 1, on Discord at 6PM Pacific / 9PM Eastern, we’ll talk about what we can do to ensure that we stay clean and avoid infection during an emergency. This includes emergency toilets, storing extra water for washing, water-free washing alternatives, and infection control.
