That edible drone 🤯! A smart idea could be to make part of the center of the body of the drone be a small portable water filter. People could likely find water, but it might not be safe to drink.
First off, I wish your husband a speedy recovery and that you won’t get sick either! 🤞 I totally would have set up a sick room to move the patient into but like you said, your room is already contaminated and that would be the better of the two rooms to keep him in. What are some of these nutritious and delicious assembly-type meals you are able to eat now? I’d like some ideas on what I can work on stocking up. And last question, I promise… do you know what Paxlovid does? Does it help cure covid, reduce symptoms, or prevent long covid? It seems like your preparations and having that pulseox saved the day and potentially saved you hundreds from an ER visit.
That must look magnificent! 😍 And I can only imagine how much it cost. What kind of plants do you grow in it?
Thank you for the links❣️ Those were really interesting sites to look at. Luckily flooding is not a risk where I am right now, but with climate change it is predicting my chance of a fire will increase over the next thirty years.
I’d like to learn more about flooding. 🌊 I’ve never lived in a home that was prone to flooding and always thought that if a flood did happen to come by it would have to be pretty high to reach my front step.
😱 YIKES!! 😱 I am sorry you had to go through that, but at least your story will keep myself and hopefully many others from making that same mistake. Modern medicine saved your life, if you were born 100 years earlier you wouldn’t had been so lucky. So what did they do to kill the parasite? Antibiotics would have been used to kill bacteria but how do you kill a parasite?
That’s pretty shocking that most of our climate change understanding comes from science fiction books. 📚 With climate change, I assume that we will see a general human migration away from the equator and more towards the poles and see more technology developments like indoor growing of our food if the outside temperatures are getting too hot and inhospitable for crops. Hopefully with an increased focus of minds on the issue, we will come up with solutions to the problem rather than band-aids.
😨 They are big! And don’t look very happy anymore. ha! Have you ever seen the eagles bathe themselves? I know smaller birds like bird baths and will toss water on their wings and rinse off. Have a beautiful day!
Happy lil’ fish! 🐟
I hope you can find peace through realizing that most of that “bombardment of bad news” is blown out of proportion to get views and are things that either doesn’t affect us or are out of our hands. It’s important not to stress over the things we can’t control and prepare the best we can to be resilient against the things we can control. But you are not alone and so many people are dealing with similar situations like you Jose. We all will get through this as individuals and as a society. Stay in there friend! ❤️
Sad to say you may have to remember to ask the responding EMTs if they are within your insurance network before they treat you…😞 If not, start thinking about how you will pay for the very expensive care. But remember, your health>any medical expenses.
Having the most precious thing in your life do dangerous things like riding a bike or climbing a tree, getting hurt and crying to you for comfort and if you are able to work on keeping your cool through all that, you are right, that is a way to work on not being hysterical. 😁
Glad your soap turned out so well and you learned a new skill! 🧼
Thanks for sharing your update as well. I like to hear as many examples of people going through situations as possible so I know common areas where I can improve myself that I might not have thought of. With your router going out, could you have powered it with the Jackery? Aren’t most internet connections still functional because they run off of telephone lines? I do the same as you though and try and do as much from my lower powered phone when electricity is at a premium. ⚡ Running my phone’s hot spot instead of a whole router and being able to use my laptop again is good but being able to do the video calls directly from my phone is even better. 📱
Wow thank you for taking the time to write up all that you are doing in such great detail. That’s wonderful you are feeling so well doing all of that. 🙌 My friend had covid the other week and asked me to go to the store and pick up some of that black seed oil for her. I don’t know if it helped her or not but that’s something on your list that I recognized.
I want to get my car 🚗 in better shape with a good checkover by a mechanic, and to tune up my body more by exercising at least three times a week. Both are important modes of transportation that I need in good working order for any future emergencies.
Cute cows! 🐮
I’d be interested in hearing more about the supplements 💊 you are taking. Are they to just make things more bearable or to fend off covid?
That is a very powerful quote and I can see why it was impactful for you. I don’t have any life altering or inspiring quotes off hand but watching Christmas movies 🎄 this time of year always gives me some reflection. For example, I watched It’s a Wonderful Life (1946) last night and it made me look at the blessings and friends that I have. Am I grateful for those? Another is any of the renditions of A Christmas Carol with Ebenezer Scrooge. I enjoy this time of year to try and be a better person for myself and towards others. I guess this has to do with being prepared by not having everyone hate you. If everyone on your block loved you and you served them a lot throughout the years and are regarded as a nice person, that can come back to help you when you need it.
You’re onto something there. You know how people buy a 20lb weighted blanket (like this) to sleep better? I think it is because that pressure and weight does something to your body to calm you down. Then there are other kinds of people who don’t like pressure or being touched during stressful situations. Once I had a family member having a panic attack and I thought I could go over and calm her down. I actually did put my arms on her shoulders like you said but it didn’t help. Other times I have tried to give a hug to a family member who I had a disagreement with and they push me off and yell “DON’T TOUCH ME!”. 😢 I think the key is to ask for permission like you mentioned and if someone is angry or upset with you in particular, then give them space. But panicking during a disaster or emergency is probably a totally different situation and pressure and touch sounds like it would have a powerful effect.
