Great review. Exactly what I was looking for. I have a 3 year-old Amcrest wired 4k system that is not high enough res to capture license plates (I have them in a flowerpot at the end of the drive. We have a delightful opioid house down the street). I see Reolink has a new 5MP version with SD card:https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Security-Autofocus-Waterproof-RLC-511W-dp-B07GXG3ZXJ/dp/B07GXG3ZXJ/ref=dp_ob_title_c I just ordered the new Reolink to test. Will report back. Hopefully it uses the same (buried) power cable as the Amcrest ones (looks like it). POST-DISASTER NO WIFI USAGEI assume this is why the author of this post is looking for a wifi-free camera? This new Reolink also includes a “Network cable” that might fit onto my existing (buried) data cable, which would be great. If that does not work, then I expect that the SD card would at least record enough data that I could retrieve and review after an incident. It wouldn’t be real-time (without wifi) but at least would be something.
