      Both Belstaff and Barbour waxes are great products I used them both on my Belstaff wax cotton biker jacket and they never failed me . I only had a bike for 20 years no cars, and my jacket had to cope with everything the north british weather could throw at me.

      I’m a bit late to the party, but I tried your method and got some really good results. I’m going on a long solo camping trip in Scotland, so wanted my gilet to be as waterproof as my coat, to wear on milder days.

      A YouTuber named The Lone Woodsman has a very detailed video about how he created his own recipe for tin pants. He shows exactly why he used microcrystalline wax, Tung oil, and Tung oil varnish, and how to safely make and apply it.   Honestly, it blows the doors off of any tin fabric that money can buy.
