Today (and tomorrow) is Prime Day on Amazon, in which they offer some good deals on various items to Amazon Prime members. We’ve searched all day for prepping deals that:
- Aren’t junk
- Aren’t lightning deals that will expire seconds after we share them with you
Without further ado, here are some of the best Prime Day deals we’ve found for preppers:
- The Kindle Paperwhite, with its waterproof exterior and long battery life, is a great addition to a bug-out bag, is down to $99.99, though you’ll have to wait a while before it ships.
- The BigBlue 3 folding solar panel, our upgrade pick for best portable solar charger, is down to $53.97, down from the usual price of $71.96. There have been good deals on larger solar panels throughout the day but they’ve been intermittent lightning deals.
- The Jackery Portable Power Station Explorer 160 is down to $119.99, a savings of $30. It can handle lightweight items like lights, laptops, and phones. Jon Stokes gave a big thumbs up to the Jackery Explorer 240.
- There are a number of good deals on BaoFeng handheld ham radios, such as this $38.39 bundle that includes a UV-5R radio, two batteries, a Nagoya NA-771 antenna, sync cable, and hand mic.
- Ladies, do you want to be able to stand and pee while innawoods? You can save $2.01 on these PeeBuddy funnels.
- Get an extra 15% off at checkout on this booney hat.

- If you want to cook dry beans in a hurry, the best way is an Instant Pot. They’re on sale today. You can buy the Instant Pot Ultra for just $49.99.
- There are a number of good deals on Gregory backpacks.
- Need a new knife or a tomahawk? CRKT choppy things are on sale.
- Get an extra 15% off Mountain House meals at checkout.
- There are plenty of good deals on Nalgene wide-mouth water bottles.
- Shaving is an underrated prep, and is important to get a good seal on a respirator or gas mask. There are some good deals on long-lasting shaving supplies, like this Prosaro shaving soap, Viking Revolution shave soap, and American Shaving shave oil.
