Trying to capture or kill a snake to bring it to identify is more dangerous itself. If you are a lone you can increase your heart rate from trying to capture it. It can also strike again which in a group could mean you have two people with snake bites. If you want to help the doctors identify the snake, try taking a picture with your phone, remember key markings such as color and patterns. Doctors are also going to still test your blood to make sure you didn’t receive a dry bite as anti-venom becomes less effective over time.
