9mm handgun — glock 17 20 gauge pump action .223 rifle For those saying a .22 lr for hunting small game, I disagree — a 20 gauge is more versatile, can hit things in motion, and can also, with the right loads, take down larger game and be useful in self defense. 20 gauge is still pretty cheap and available too. .22 is overall somewhat worthless in the woods if you’re not an avid small game hunter with lots of practice.
