Reply to: From the BBC: Sugar for treating badly infected wounds. Posted February 16, 2021

I had a similar experience with a vet, but with sugar. Our dog got in a fight with another dog and her fore legs were badly torn up. She spent a couple of days at the vet, then home to recover. I was instructed to wash the wounds with a warm betadine/water solution and apply sugar then wrap with gauze and vet wrap. She healed up just fine.
